A Web that is Worldwide.

This shouldn't be surprising to me but I just had an Instant Message conversation with my friend Steve Knight. The thing is, he's in Moldova. This, apparently, is a country located on planet Earth. I didn't know.

Actually, I did know that. But that's really about all I know about Moldova. I guess now I know that there is a hotel in the city of Chisinau that has free wi-fi in the lobby.

In a related story, my brother-in-law Isaac just got back from China. I think I "spoke" with him more while he was in China than before or after his trip. Again, the free wi-fi thing.

I don't really have anything profound to say about this whole thing. But it sure does make the world a much smaller place, doesn't it? Steve just updated the BGEA website from 1/2 way around the world. And I kept up on Isaac's trip because he uploaded pics to his website daily. It's just crazy. (...definitely check out the "Engrish" pages on his site. Hilarious.)

Anyway... The internet, huh? Maybe I'll set up an internet cafe in Mongolia.
