Well, the Chiefs have started training camp. In fact, they've been at it for a week already. So we all know what that means. That's right, it's time for me to start blogging aout the Chiefs again. I can't even tell you how many thousands of emails I've received asking me when I'm going to revive blogging about the Chiefs. It makes sense; the Chiefs are America's favorite football team and I am America's favorite blogger for said team. (Never mind the fact that we won the Super Bowl last year!)
Here are my two thoughts on the Chiefs' season:
1.) Our defense is going to be WAY better this year. That will be fun. It'll be like the 90's, except with some offense.
2.) Our offense won't be quite as good as they have been the past 3 years. The O-line is getting old. They're almost my age.
3.) The Chiefs are probably going to win the Super Bowl. Party at my house on February 5th, 2006. Put it in your calendars, people.
4.) There are three thoughts. Not two. And not four.
That's how I see it. I'm not alone in my assessment, though. Check out this article on espn.com by John Clayton. This guy knows what he's talking about. I'm basing my assessment of his expertise on the fact that he is currently saying nice things about the Chiefs. So that could change in the future. I'll keep you posted. But for now... enjoy the article... And I'll see you in February.
Posted by HFT Wes at August 8, 2005 03:36 PM | TrackBackNot so fast !! I don't deny you guys probably going to Super Bowl, but I have a feeling I'm the one who doing Victory Dance at your house on Feb 5th 2006 !!!
Posted by: DJ Hiro at August 17, 2005 01:50 PMHa! Well... I guess that's why they play the games! If the preseason matchup between the Vikes and Chiefs was any indication of how these two would match up in a Super Bowl...and I don't think it was...but IF it was, I can't wait to see your victory dance! Either way, one of us will be dancing. That's good enough for me!
Posted by: HFT Wes at August 17, 2005 09:25 PMI will be sitting in the stands sadly wearing my cheesehead at this Superbowl if indeed your teams are the ones competing. If it is between the Vikings and the Chiefs I think I would have to lend my support to the Chiefs. No offense to the Vikings, but we cheeseheads don't like them... maybe them's fighting words no matter how I say them. Oh well, behold the power of cheese! By the way, will you be QBing again President Wes? Ttfn and continue your awesome Happy Fun Timing!
(If you don't know who this is, I'm the guy that you guys gave the jello brain to at Lifest.)
Posted by: Branden de Lifest at August 22, 2005 10:14 PMHey Brandon De Lifest! Thanks for stopping in. Man, you've got a jello brain and a cheese head. Life is rough. I tell ya what, though ... if the Packers and Vikings were in the Super Bowl together ... I realize that is impossible ... but IF they were ... now don't tell any of my MInnesota neighbors this but ... I'd have to root for the Packers. It's true.
Of course, I've been accused of having a cheese head and jello brain myself. So there's that.
Thanks for checking in Brian. Come again.
Posted by: HFT Wes at August 23, 2005 04:00 PMWell, I didn't expect cheesehead to be Vikings supporter. especially we are in a same division. No Hard Feelings, man!! but you do have greatest QB in the history(my opinion). Not many people can disagree with Favre!!
