Well, hello, again my HFT friends. My old HFT friends. My new HFT friends whom we met this weekend up in Duluth.
There is so much to say in the way of catching up... but I will begin by posting a few comments and a few photos about our most recent HFT show...
We just returned from the "Spring Blitz Ministry Conference Ministry Blitz Spring" -- or something like that -- in Duluth, MN. It was a fantastic event. The event-goers were full of life! The event-planners and production team was top-notch. The speaker, Geoff Safford was great, great. The band, Mainstay was great, great. And they were all as awesome off-stage as they were onstage. And I don't mean awesome in the hair-flicking, mocha-sipping, self-importance way; I mean it in the humility of not taking themselves too seriously, genuinely interested in ministry, totally team players type way.
The whole weekend was great. Especially since we as HFT aren't doing this too often anymore. It made it all the sweeter to me.
This was Charlotte's first HFT show (not in utero). She was (mainly) a happy, joyful baby all weekend. What a kid! She made her stage debut after we had sling-shot some t-shirts into the crowd. We pretended like we were going to shoot her out too. We had a nice "discussion" before we went on stage about whether or not we would pull the slingshot back while Charlotte was in it. Needless to say, I won.
Nate had the quote of the weekend. He was watching Charlotte sit in her high-chair as I fed her. She would switch back and forth between hyper-active arm flailing and sitting calmly and staring at people with a knowing look. Nate laughed and said, “It's as if Wes was Nica.”
Kids are miracles in so many ways.

You all. You and your loud, amazing selves.

Charlotte. My sweet baby whom I blame for the severe lack of blogging.
