Look! The Summer Blockbusters Are Coming!
Alright, I will admit it, I am a sucker for the big budget Hollywood flicks released to tantalize and entertain us during the summer months. Truthfully, I'm a sucker for movies in general...but it seems doubly suckerish to get excited about some of the summer movie fare that comes out. (Excluding anything made by Steven Speilberg from that list, of course.)
And really, after a long cold brooding winter I think it's good to lighten the entertainment pallet with some awesome special effects, thin action-serving plots, and "star" power.
That being said, I am looking forward to seeing Tom Cruise save Dakota Fanning
from martians inWar of the Worlds. If you're going to do sci-fi, you couldn't find a better story.
I say, "Bring on the awesome!"
