Bluemen and Timberwolves.

Last night I saw the Blueman Group perform during halftime of the final game of the Timberwolves season. It was my first experience seeing them live, and even though it was a short performance I really liked it, and really want to see more.

Speaking of seeing more, they did use their now infamous fiber optic-cam thing on a "volunteer" from the crowd and showed everyone what the inside of this dudes stomach looked like. Fortunately it wasn't filled with jumbo pretzel or nachos, which sort of made me think he might have been a plant. But, they were on NBA time so who can blame them?

All in all it was a rockin' experience, and increased my desire to see their show.

Oh, and the Timberwolves won.

So close, yet...

So, we're on the road again right? (In case you don't believe me check out the "Schedule" page on our website. It'll tell the tale.)

We had a whole lot of fun at the first show of the tour in St. Charles, IL. By the way, thanks to everybody who came out to see us!

While in the Chicago Land Area we met up with a friend and visited the Art Institute of Chicago. A place I've wanted to visit since the first time I saw one of the seminal films of the1980's.

Once I knew we were going I had my heart set on standing in front of an actual painting by Edward Hopper, who's my favorite American painter. I've seen many of his paintings in books, but never an original print. I was jazzed at the prospect of actually seeing one.

But, it was not ment to be. The Institute decided to move his paintings right before we showed up. Minutes, I'm sure. It's apart of a permanent exhibit they're creating of American painters, which sounds like a super idea to me.

We did get to see the nice particleboard walls they built to cover up the area where the paintings were being hung, but it didn't have the same effect. I'm already planning my return.

To digress, if I may, there were some other amazing pieces of art there too. Plenty to be happyabout.

In conclusion, there's more to a museum than one painting, but it's worth going back to see your favorite.
