I like spring.

Aaaah, spring is finally-offically-here. Even though we may be getting snow in Minnesota later this week, I for one am glad that we can at least say winter is over.

In anticipation of seeing green grass again here's what I remember it looking like:

...and I know for sure that it sounds a lot like this.

Can't wait!

And now...Russel Munson.

Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce a guest blogger: Mr. Russel Munson.

He's a good guy, a great friend, and a terrific speller.

Take it away Russ.

Welcome Bloggers. Welcome to my first Blog. That stands for web log. Go figure. So Nate (who is my good friend and good roomate) just passed me his laptop as we sit on the long green couch. Maybe he is feeling lazy today, in a blogging way. Maybe he's betting on my hilarious good feeling side coming out right now and entertaining all of Nate's fans. Maybe he just doesn't want me to drink my decaf coffee while it's still hot. I may never know. CSI: NY is on. I've never seen the show. That guy who is Lutenant Dan is in it. I do not know how to spel millitary words. This blog thing is getting kind of fun. I'm starting to imagine someone actually reading these words and at least pondering them for a second or so. That's a powerful feeling, getting to lead someone's thoughts for a bit. So what should I share? I've decided against railing against network TV or trying to be funny. So how about a thought regarding my daily Bible reading? Sounds good to me.
I've been reading I John. It's been an encouraging book. Keeps inspiring me to love people, and not just the ones I already love but the people that God loves. Everyone. It's hard to put into words and not sound to cliche. Here's the verses that hit me today:
I John 4:10-11 - This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
Simple. True. God loved me first, he created love, he is love. He loved me first. That allows me to love him. That allows me to love others. Which others? The ones he loves. The ones he died for. That's everyone. I'm part of everyone. That's amazing. I know alot of "everyone." Some of them I like, some I don't. Some I'm nice to, some I'm not. I need to love them all though. God loves them. And part of loving someone is being nice to them. We're all in the same boat here. I guess today I was encouraged by the Spirit to love people, even to be nice to people. I hope this little thought of the day encourages you. It's hard to type out your thoughts during CSI. If I ever get another chance to write I'll probably turn off the distractions. I'm out. Enjoy your day and know that you are loved. A little bit by me, and entirely by God.

Thank you for your time.
Russel
