Blue Grass Airport

HFT is at the Lexington Blue Grass Airport. We are about to board the plane. I have to go now. That's all I have time to say. I'm so sorry.

And discuss...

A Land Full of Adventure.

And....we're back! HFT just got home last night from some shows at the LCMC National Youth Rally and a show at Riverside Bible Camp. Both of these were in Iowa, my home state. Before all of this we were shooting the Augsburg Fortress videos. So yeah, busy, busy...

While we were in Iowa we had the wonderful opportunity to visit Iowa's premeire amusement park, Adventureland. Riding such rides as the Tornado, Dragon and Dodge 'Em Cars brought back so many memories from my childhood. Being raised in Iowa you are taught that Adventureland is THE greatest amusement park...THE ONLY amusement park. People of Iowa, this is far from the truth. In my many years since living in Iowa I have experienced other, and may I say, better amusement parks. No, Iowa, Adventureland is AN amusement park...and should barely be called great. It pains me to say it but the truth must be promoted here.

So, in light of this "amusing" topic, tell us about your experiences at amusement parks. Which ones are the best? Which should be given the "Sleepy Time Nap Hour" award? Let America know!

Moving Down...town.

As I mentioned yesterday, I moved last week into a new apartment. In order to protect my privacy from the vast hordes of folks who read this blog, I will refrain from mentioning its exact address. I will say however, that it is located in a certain "downtown" of a certain "metropolitan area" that is in a certain "Minnesota."

That said, it has already proven to be very interesting living downtown Minneapolis. On one hand, you have all the action, fun and resources that you could imagine would come with being "in the heart of it." On the other hand, there are a ton of crazy people around. It's like the movie, "Master and Commander". You get that many people living that close together and someone is bound to accidently shoot a guy while aiming at an albatros. For example, yesterday I witnessed from my very own window the most bizarrely hilarious thing...

A woman (we'll call her Bonnie) was driving a Toyota Echo and was about to parallel park it on the street. Now, for starters, this car is small. I mean, really small. Like crazy small. So small that the only reason I was even looking at this car, was because my roommate called me over to the window because, "this car is so small!" Bonnie could have easily just pulled forward into the spot but instead, she was heading into a true blue parallel parking situation.

Before we knew it, she was backing in towards the curb at nearly a right degree angle. Hmmm...okay. She pulls back out and tries again. Same exact angle. Sure. Nice. Again...this time a near perfect perpendicular to the curb. Bonnie is a little confused. We watched her for no less than five minutes try and get her amazingly tiny vehicle into a luxuriously large parking spot. By the time she had parked her car, I was on the floor weeping...they were tears of glee mixed with confusion and hunger.

So there you have it. A little slice of downtown living. Stay tuned for more tales...

Wait, wait...I can explain!

It's been a very busy couple of weeks for all of us here at HFT. On top of our own business, I took on acting in an independent movie project as well. It was great fun and I learned a lot, but it came at a very crazy time. Maybe some of you will get to see it someday. It's called, "Your Biological Parents." I play a child-like man who shoots water out of his ears and hands and goes on a quest to rescue a girl who was never in need of rescue to begin with and...well...just wait till it comes out on VHS.

I also moved to a new apartment in the midst of all this. And I went to Iowa for a wedding. And watched "The Day After Tomorrow". And yes, I am only one man.

So, the preceding is my big fat excuse for not being on the blog train lately. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me. To make it up to you, I will try my best to blog everyday this week about things I've mentioned in this here entry. I know what your thinking, "Mike, you've already abandonded us, don't completely overwhelm us now." And what I'm thinking is, "I'm sorry...I'm so very sorry."
